We specialise in delivering research, data collection, and evaluation services to international nonprofits, government agencies, and development partners. Our areas of expertise include Agriculture, Health, Nutrition, Child Protection, WASH, Education, Gender Equality, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Disability Inclusion, and Statistical Analysis.
M31 Research is seeking experienced Agriculture Consultants to join our team in Kenya. We are looking for professionals with significant experience working with international organisations, such as FAO, GIZ, and World Bank. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in conducting Agriculture Assessments, Evaluations, and providing Technical Assistance, particularly in Kenya, focusing on enhancing agricultural productivity, sustainability, and resilience.
Responsibilities :

  • Lead and participate in agriculture assessments, evaluations, and research projects within Kenya, ensuring high-quality and impactful results.
  • Provide technical assistance and advisory support to international organisations, government agencies, and other stakeholders in designing, implementing, and evaluating agriculture programmes.
  • Develop and review project proposals, technical reports, and other documentation related to agricultural interventions, with a focus on improving productivity, sustainability, and resilience in Kenyan farming systems.
  • Conduct data analysis and provide insights to inform agricultural policy development and programme decisions.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including local farmers, agricultural professionals, government officials, and donors, to ensure the relevance and success of agricultural initiatives.
  • Stay current with the latest trends, innovations, and best practices in agriculture, particularly those relevant to the Kenyan context.

Required profile for job ad : Agriculture Consultants - All Cities

 

  • A Master’s or PhD in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of seven years of professional experience in the agriculture sector, with substantial experience working with international organisations such as FAO, GIZ, or other major donors.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting agriculture assessments, evaluations, and providing technical assistance in Kenya.
  • Expertise in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of agriculture programmes, with a focus on achieving measurable improvements in agricultural outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Familiarity with data collection tools and methodologies relevant to agriculture evaluations.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
