Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Actuarial Manager to lead our actuarial function and provide strategic insights that support sound business decisions. The ideal candidate will oversee pricing, reserving, modelling, and regulatory reporting while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all actuarial outputs. This role requires strong leadership, advanced analytical capability, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pricing, product development, and actuarial modelling across insurance portfolios.
  • Oversee actuarial valuations, reserving processes, and financial projections.
  • Conduct experience investigations, profitability studies, and stress testing.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of actuarial data, assumptions, and methodologies.
  • Support enterprise risk management frameworks and capital adequacy assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, IFRS standards, and regulatory reporting.
  • Manage, mentor, and review work done by actuarial analysts and junior actuaries.
  • Provide strategic actuarial insights to support product strategies and business planning.
  • Collaborate with finance, underwriting, claims, and product development teams.
  • Prepare actuarial reports, pricing memos, and board-level documentation.
  • Maintain clear documentation for models, processes, and assumption bases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Progress toward or attainment of a recognised actuarial qualification (SOA, IFoA, ASSA, IAAK).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ actuarial experience in insurance, pensions, reinsurance, or consulting.
  • Strong proficiency in actuarial modelling tools and analytical software.
  • Solid understanding of pricing, reserving, valuation, and risk frameworks.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
