Position : Accountant - Ndola

Xiangjiang Industrial Co., Ltd. is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and qualified Accountant to join our finance team. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong accounting background and in-depth knowledge of Zambian tax laws and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and submit all statutory tax returns in accordance with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) requirements, including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax, etc.
  • Ensure accurate calculation, recording, and timely payment of all taxes.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, account management, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile tax accounts and promptly resolve discrepancies.
  • Liaise with the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) on tax matters, audits, and compliance issues.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise management on their impact.
  • Process and review accounting transactions using Sage Evolution 200.
  • Support external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ZICA membership (or eligibility for membership) is required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in accounting and tax compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Zambian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
