Position : Accountant - Lagos
A company based in Lekki phase one ,Lagos is looking to hire an Accountant.
Responsibilities :

Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.

Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns, identifying potential tax savings.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and providing analysis.

Audit Preparation:
- Prepare for internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and complete.

Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

Expense Management:
- Monitor and control company expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets.

Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, keeping up to date with changes in accounting laws.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting systems.

Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) is often preferred.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

Understanding of Accounting Principles:
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
