Position : Accountant - Harare

We are looking for an Accountant.
Responsibilities:

  • Financial Accounting: Manage the day-to-day financial accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliation. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. 
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including stock tracking, reconciliation, and valuation. 
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders. 
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls. 
  • Tax:Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, income tax, import/export taxes and other tax-related filings. Respond to tax-related inquiries from tax authorities professionally. Maintain tax records, documentation, and supporting schedules in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Required profile for job ad : Accountant - Harare

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. ACCA, CIMA, or other relevant certifications are preferred
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in accounting roles, preferably in the household chemicals industry or have relevant experience in the import and export industry
  • Strong understanding of local financial accounting principles, practices, and standards. Familiarity with tax regulations in Zimbabwe is required.
