Position : Sale Mining Engineer - Accra
We are seeking a results-driven and technically competent Sales Mining Engineer to drive business development and expand market presence within the mining sector.
The successful candidate will combine strong mining engineering knowledge with strategic sales expertise to identify opportunities, develop technical solutions, and build long-term partnerships with mining operators, EPC/EPCM contractors, and industrial clients.
This role requires deep understanding of mining operations (surface and underground), heavy industrial equipment, and the ability to manage complex technical sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within mining operations and related industries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, contractors, and decision-makers.
- Conduct regular site visits to understand operational needs and technical challenges.
- Promote mining equipment, electrical systems, automation solutions, or heavy industrial products (as applicable).
Technical Sales & Solution Development
- Provide expert technical advice tailored to client operational requirements.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender documentation.
- Interpret mining specifications, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Present product demonstrations and deliver technical presentations to clients.
Sales Cycle Management
- Manage the full sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and order closure.
- Maintain an active pipeline and achieve revenue targets.
- Develop account strategies for key mining clients.
- Negotiate commercial terms and ensure profitable project execution.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor mining industry trends, commodity cycles, and competitor activities.
- Provide structured sales forecasts and periodic performance reports.
- Support strategic planning through market insights and customer feedback.
Post-Sales Support
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Provide after-sales technical support and maintain long-term client satisfaction.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in mining technical sales, heavy industry, or industrial engineering.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in B2B industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of mining operations and equipment.
- Experience working with EPC/EPCM contractors and large-scale capital projects (advantage).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel to mining sites as required.
