Position : Head of Quality Assurance and Standards - Nairobi

We are looking for a Head of Quality Assurance and Standards.
The Head of Quality Assurance & Standards is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s quality framework to ensure all products, services, and operations meet internal benchmarks, regulatory requirements, and international standards. This role provides strategic leadership to embed a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, compliance, and risk management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Establish quality policies, standards, procedures, and performance metrics aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead audits, inspections, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and operational standards.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Build and manage the Quality Assurance team, providing leadership, coaching, and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to integrate quality standards into workflows and decision-making.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and risk mitigation.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior QA, compliance, or standards leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, audits, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence organizational change.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with ISO standards, process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is an advantage.
