Job Title: Staff Counsellor
Job Summary
Kaaro Foods is seeking a compassionate and professional Staff Counsellor to provide guidance, support, and counseling services to employees. This role is essential in promoting mental health, addressing workplace challenges, and fostering a positive organizational culture that enhances employee well-being, productivity, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions addressing personal, professional, and work-related issues
  • Support employees experiencing stress, anxiety, conflict, or other workplace challenges
  • Develop and implement workplace wellness programs and initiatives
  • Offer guidance on work-life balance, career development, and interpersonal skills
  • Mediate and support conflict resolution between employees or teams
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and accurate records of counseling sessions
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops on stress management, emotional intelligence, and workplace well-being
  • Collaborate with HR and management to identify and address employee support needs
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on employee well-being trends to support continuous improvement of organizational policies

Required profile for job ad : Staff Counsellor - Kampala

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Resource Management, or a related field
  • Professional certification in counseling is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in counseling, employee support, or HR advisory roles
  • Strong understanding of workplace mental health and wellness principles
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism
