Position : Web Developer - Nairobi

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our property booking website. This individual will be responsible for the full lifecycle of web development, from coding and design to maintenance and optimization, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of web development principles and be proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL, with a focus on creating robust, scalable, and secure web applications. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail to translate design concepts into functional and visually appealing web interfaces. Also help with setting up a domain name and hosting the website to the world wide web. Freelancce job offering 40000 Kenyan Shillings. This is a one time project.

Required profile for job ad : Web Developer - Nairobi

  • Proven working experience as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
  • Proficiency in programming languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems: MySQL or PostgreSQL, including manipulating and querying data.
  • Experience with web markup (HTML) and styling (CSS), including CSS syntax, properties, and selectors.
  • Solid practical knowledge of JavaScript for creating interactive web pages.
  • Familiarity with at least one PHP framework (e.g., Laravel) for efficient and scalable development.
  • Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) practices to improve website visibility.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git fundamentals (commits, branches, repositories on GitHub/GitLab).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize web pages for security and responsiveness.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to address complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
