Overview
We are recruiting an experienced and driven General Manager to lead high-end, fine-dining restaurant operations in Pretoria and Johannesburg. This role requires a hands-on hospitality leader with a passion for exceptional guest experiences, strong financial acumen, and the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams in a premium dining environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring service excellence, profitability, and brand standards are consistently upheld.
Key Responsibilities

  • Full operational management of a fine-dining restaurant
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences aligned with luxury service standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop FOH and BOH management teams
  • Ensure staffing levels, training, and performance management are optimised
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgets, cost control, and profit margins
  • Monitor and improve service standards, quality control, and operational procedures
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and labour regulations
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders
  • Drive sales growth through service excellence, upselling, and guest retention
  • Represent the brand professionally at all times

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Restaurant Manager within a fine-dining or premium hospitality environment
  • Strong understanding of high-end service standards and guest expectations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills
  • Solid financial and operational management experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable dining experiences
