Position : Senior Business Development Partner - Addis Ababa
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Senior Business Development Partner to lead strategic growth initiatives, expand market presence, and build high-value partnerships. This role is designed for a commercially astute professional with a strong entrepreneurial mindset who can operate as a true business partner rather than a traditional employee.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping business strategy, driving revenue, and mentoring business development teams while directly contributing to long-term organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute high-level business development strategies aligned with company goals
- Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic partnerships, alliances, and new market opportunities
- Own end-to-end deal lifecycle including prospecting, negotiation, contracting, and onboarding
- Drive revenue growth through strategic accounts, partnerships, and expansion initiatives
- Develop market entry and growth plans for new regions or product lines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners
- Collaborate with leadership, marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure execution excellence
- Track performance metrics, prepare forecasts, and report on growth initiatives
- Mentor and guide junior business development professionals where applicable
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and high-level meetings

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8–10+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic sales
- Proven track record of closing high-value deals and driving sustainable revenue growth
- Strong negotiation, strategic planning, and relationship management skills
- Experience working at a senior or partner level with leadership teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial and financial acumen
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
