Position : Plant Controller - Lilongwe

We are looking for a Plant Controller.
Responsibilities :
1. Production Accounting Background

  • Proven experience in manufacturing / cost accounting
  • Ability to manage and reconcile process orders, production variances, and inventory movements

2. Costing Expertise

  • Deep understanding of standard costing, actual costing, and cost center accounting
  • Experience in cost roll-ups, BOM analysis, and cost allocation methodologies

3. ERP Proficiency

  • Strong command of SAP (CO, PP, MM modules) to support stakeholders on site
  • Ability to navigate and extract data for analysis and reporting

4. Process & Controls Orientation

  • Familiarity with end-to-end manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements in a production setting

5. Analytical & Communication Skills

  • Ability to translate complex costing data into actionable insights
  • Comfortable engaging with operations, supply chain, and finance teams

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field, Chartered accountant (CA Malawi) or similar
  • At least 5 years’ experience
  • Experience in agriculture, manufacturing or seed industry is an added advantage
