Position : Data Scientist - Harare

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Scientist to collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to support data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will apply statistical techniques, machine learning models, and data visualization tools to generate actionable insights that drive business performance and innovation.
Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
  • Develop and deploy statistical models and machine learning algorithms
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support strategic and operational decisions
  • Design and maintain data pipelines and workflows
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, product, finance, and operations
  • Validate data accuracy and ensure data integrity and governance standards
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior management

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • +5 proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of machine learning techniques and statistical analysis
  • Experience working with large datasets and cloud platforms is an advantage
