Position : Supply Chain Manager - Nairobi

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager with over 10 years of expertise in managing, optimizing, and leading supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement, logistics, inventory control, demand planning, and supplier management to ensure operational excellence and cost efficiency across the entire value chain.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Forecast demand, plan inventory, and coordinate procurement to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Lead sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier evaluation processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, standards, and ethical practices.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.

3. Logistics & Distribution

  • Oversee transportation, warehousing, and last-mile delivery operations.
  • Optimize logistics networks to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to enhance supply reliability and cost-effectiveness.

4. Inventory Management & Control

  • Develop and enforce effective inventory management policies.
  • Use ERP systems to track stock levels, movements, and reorder points.
  • Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records for traceability and regulatory compliance.

5. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop supply chain and logistics teams for peak performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, production, and sales to ensure smooth operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present supply chain performance reports to senior management.
