Position : Internal Auditor - Dar Es Salaam

Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative plastic packaging solutions in East Africa, is seeking a results-driven Internal Auditor to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting risk-based audits, assessing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This role requires a self-motivated professional with strong analytical and communication skills, committed to driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute risk-based audit programs.
  • Assess business processes, risks, and internal controls.
  • Conduct audits from planning to reporting.
  • Identify control gaps and recommend improvements.
  •  Prepare and present audit findings to management.
  •  Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Review SOPs and ensure control effectiveness.
  •  Perform spot checks and special investigations.
  •  Maintain audit documentation and update the Internal Audit Manager.

Skills and requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA qualification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in auditing (internal or external), preferably in a reputable organization or firm.
  • Proficient in using audit tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  •  High standards of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Self-driven, well-organized, and capable of performing under pressure.
  • Adaptable and open to travel as required.
