Position : Housekeeping Supervisor - Ijebu Ife, Shagamu
BINTOO Hotel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance. The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead and motivate a team of housekeepers, ensuring efficiency, attention to detail, and excellent service at all times.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise and manage the housekeeping staff, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel spaces to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met.
- Coordinate daily cleaning schedules and room assignments for housekeeping staff, ensuring all areas are cleaned in a timely manner.
- Train, motivate, and develop housekeeping team members to ensure high levels of productivity, performance, and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Respond to guest requests and complaints regarding housekeeping, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments, particularly front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Assist in the preparation of staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak and off-peak times.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for housekeeping staff and provide feedback and support for professional development.
- Oversee the deep-cleaning programs, including periodic carpet cleaning, window washing, and seasonal maintenance.
- Ensure all housekeeping tools, equipment, and products are used effectively and kept in good working condition.
- Assist in managing departmental budgets, controlling costs related to cleaning supplies and staff overtime.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Manager.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness and service excellence.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of housekeeping management software (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
