Mechanic - Akamkpa / Ikot Abasi

We are seeking reliable and experienced Mechanics to join our team. The successful candidates should have knowledge in daily maintenance, schedule maintenance and preventive maintenance of various HEMM equipment like, Excavator, Dozer, Motor grader, Whell Loader , Backhoe Loader , Roller , Piling rig , Swamp Buggy , Mobile Cranes , Forklift etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Engine Diagnosis:
Conduct the required test thorough electronic diagnostic tool to identify engine problems. Inspecting, troubleshooting, and finding out solution of critical problems like not taking load, black smoke , overheating issues, high blow-by etc. Capable of performing condition-based monitoring in engines independently.
Engine Overhauling:
a. Disassemble the engine and identify the worn-out parts and asses the parts requirement by measuring the repair limits of all parts like , crankshaft, engine block , engine cylinder head , cam shaft, liner , piston , piston pins , cam follower , rocker arm etc.
b. Clean, repair, and replace the worn-out parts as per OEM recommendation by using proper tools.
c. Tappet setting of engines independently
d. Test the engine after overhauling and resolve the issues/snag effectively which are observed in testing.
Transmission
1.Transmission Diagnosis:
Perform diagnosis of critical problems related to gear shifting as well as overheating issues in transmission system in heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, grader, wheel loader, dumper, backhoe loader etc.
2-Troubleshooting:
Investigate transmission-related problems, find out faults, both on-site and in the workshop. Identify the root cause of failure and implement effective solutions.
3.Utilize diagnostic tools and procedures to assess the condition of transmission components before dismantling.
4. Overhauling and Repair:
Execute dismantling of transmission, identify the failed parts, cleaning, repairing, and replacement of worn out/ damaged parts with new one as per procedure laid down in OEM workshop manual.
Hydraulics
Knowledge in hydraulic system, troubleshooting of hydraulic system by studying circuit diagram. Repairing and overhauling of hydraulic main pumps, hydraulic motors and hydraulic cylinders
Axle & Differential
Disassembly and assembly of axle and differential Assy of loader, motor grader, backhoe loader, drum roller (compactor ) , mobile cranes etc.
