Position : Structure / Bridge Engineer - Uvinza / Dar Es Salaam

We are looking for a Structure / Bridge Engineer.
Responsibilities :

  • Prepare the Engineering design documents and confirm the project’s requirements.
  • Prepare the structure drawings, specifications, technical reports, calculation notes and other related design documents.
  • Design a Railway project by studying the project’s concept, drawings and models.
  • Prepare the structure calculation notes to support the design and perform various engineering-related calculations and analyses using relevant design criteria, codes and standards.
  • Prepare the basic and detailed design deliverables.
  • High Capacity to Review the Design documents and provide reasonable, objective and insightful comments and technical solutions.
  • Technical reply to the received design comments based on the related standards and technical experience background.
  • Performs other duties if assigned

Required profile for job ad : Structure / Bridge Engineer - Uvinza / Dar Es Salaam

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structure /Civil and Bridge engineering
  • 3 years of relevant experience in railway projects
  • Proficient in English
  • Good knowledge of AREMA, AASHTO and Eurocode Standards.
  • Midas and AUTODESK STRUCTURAL BRIDGE software are required
  • Strategic thinker, with demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on site field conditions
  • Ability to work successfully and professionally with client contacts

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of the project team’s work and reach the overall project objectives
  • Ensure the technical liaison with clients at the staff level for work within the discipline.
  • Assists project management duties
  • Performs other duties if assigned
