Project: Enhancing Livelihoods and Community Resilience in NigeriaThis project focuses on strengthening local economies, supporting livelihoods, and building resilience within underserved communities across Nigeria. The project is scheduled to run until 31 December 2026, with the potential for extension based on funding availability.
Role Summary
Moonwall is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of this UNDP-supported project in Nigeria. The successful candidate will bring a strong project management background, with knowledge of the Nigerian context and experience in international development. As Project Manager, you will oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring alignment with UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Moonwall’s mission.
Responsibilities :
- Project Implementation: Develop, execute, and manage project work plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with government officials, local leaders, community organizations, and international partners.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Establish performance indicators and tracking systems to monitor project progress, adapting plans to meet evolving needs.
- Financial Oversight: Ensure sound financial management and compliance, regularly monitoring project budgets and reporting on expenditure.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a results-oriented, collaborative work environment.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports for Moonwall and UNDP leadership, documenting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
Required profile for job ad : Project Manager - Lagos
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, International Development, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project management, with at least 2 years in the international development or humanitarian sector. Experience with UNDP projects or work in Nigeria/West Africa is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
