General Dentist - Grahamstown

We are looking for a General Dentist.
Responsibilities :

• Patient Examination:
  • Conduct comprehensive dental examinations to assess oral health, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Preventive Care:
  • Provide preventive care services, including teeth cleaning, fluoride treatments, and sealants to promote oral hygiene.
• Restorative Dentistry:
  • Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures to restore function and aesthetics.
• Oral Surgery:
  • Conduct minor surgical procedures, such as extractions of teeth and treatment of soft tissue issues.
• Patient Education:
  • Educate patients on oral health practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques, dietary recommendations, and the importance of regular check-ups.
• Radiographic Analysis:
  • Interpret dental X-rays and other diagnostic imaging to identify issues not visible during examinations.
• Treatment Planning:
  • Develop and discuss individualized treatment plans with patients, considering their dental needs, preferences, and financial situations.
• Pain Management:
  • Administer local anesthesia and manage patient discomfort during procedures.
• Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment notes, progress, and billing information.
• Collaboration with Specialists:
  • Refer patients to dental specialists (e.g., orthodontists, periodontists) when advanced treatment is required and coordinate care.
• Compliance with Regulations:
  • Ensure all dental practices comply with relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
• Continuing Education:
  • Stay updated with advancements in dental techniques and technologies through ongoing education and training.
