Position : Dean - School of Education, Social Sciences and Technology - Lilongwe

Unicaf University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Dean, School of Education, Social Sciences and Technology. 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the review and development of academic programmes within the faculty
  • Leads the School’s Faculty Recruitment, Selection, and Appraisals Process.
  • Ensures the implementation of the University’s Academic Regulations, and advises faculty and students accordingly.
  • Is responsible for the monitoring of faculty performance, accurately reporting on the quality of instruction, and the supervision of data collection for relevant academic parameters.
  • Oversees the maintenance of accurate academic records and ensures the timely preparation of reports related to academic activities and processes of the School / University.
  • Teaching online and blended subjects in the area of specialization.
  • Supervises Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral students’ dissertations/theses in the area of specialization.

Essential Requirements:

  • A doctoral degree in a relevant field
  • Evidence of good research skills and publication record
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Previous experience in Academic Leadership in a Higher Education setting is an advantage.
