M31 Research is seeking highly qualified WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Consultants based in Kenya to join our expanding team. We are looking for professionals with robust experience working with international organisations, including UNICEF and USAID. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated expertise in WASH Assessments, Evaluations, and Technical Assistance, particularly in Kenya
Responsibilities :
- Lead and participate in WASH assessments, evaluations, and research projects within Kenya, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs aligned with client requirements.
- Provide technical assistance and advisory support to international organisations, local government, and other stakeholders in the design and implementation of WASH programmes in Kenya.
- Develop and review project proposals, technical reports, and documentation specific to WASH interventions in the Kenyan context.
- Conduct data analysis and provide actionable insights to guide policy development and decision-making in WASH initiatives.
- Engage with Kenyan stakeholders, including communities, local authorities, and donors, to ensure relevance and impact of WASH programmes.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends, innovations, and best practices in WASH, particularly as they pertain to the Kenyan environment.

- A Master’s degree or PhD in Water, Sanitation, Hygiene, Public Health, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of seven years of professional experience in the WASH sector, with significant experience working with international organisations such as UNICEF and USAID.
- Proven track record in conducting WASH assessments, evaluations, and providing technical assistance in Kenya.
- Expertise in WASH programme design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on achieving tangible results is desirable.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality reports and presentations tailored to the Kenyan context.
- Familiarity with data collection tools and methodologies relevant to WASH evaluations.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
