Position : Tourism Management Intern - Nairobi

We are looking for a passionate, outgoing and highly motivated Tourism Management Intern to join our team in the above mentioned capacity.
Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, reviewing and translating itineraries to clients for the various destinations of interest.
  • Researching and developing new creative tour packages
  • Keeping tab and following up on bookings
  • Maintaining an accurate database of client information.
  • Follow up with tour guides on their various tour assignments
  • Managing the Corporate Social Responsibility program
  • Contribute to the effective running of daily operations
  • Any other task assigned to them.

Required profile for job ad : Tourism Management Intern - Nairobi

 

  • Degree in Tourism Management, Tourism Operations or similar field.
  • Knowledge of any of the following languages: Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian.
  • Knowledge of travel software, computer reservation systems and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge in ticketing and use of travelling software (computer reservation systems; Travelport and Sabre).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Outgoing, motivated, confident
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to solve complicated situations quickly, confidently and calmly.
  • Patience with customers, suppliers and fellow colleagues.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to learn quickly, think out of the box and be creative
