Position : Supply Chain Manager - Lusaka

We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager.
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely procurement, production support, storage, and distribution of goods and services. The role focuses on optimizing supply chain processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring continuity of supply while meeting organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals
  • Forecast demand and plan inventory levels to meet operational requirements
  • Optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers
  • Ensure ethical, transparent, and compliant procurement practices

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Manage inventory levels to avoid stock-outs and excess stock
  • Oversee warehouse operations, storage, and stock control systems
  • Implement inventory management best practices and systems

Logistics & Distribution

  • Coordinate transportation and distribution of goods
  • Manage third-party logistics providers and transporters
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable laws
  • Support business continuity and contingency planning

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze supply chain KPIs and performance metrics
  • Prepare reports on supply chain performance, costs, and efficiencies
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Team Leadership

  • Lead, supervise, and develop supply chain, procurement, and logistics staff
  • Set performance objectives and conduct performance reviews
  • Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Required profile for job ad : Supply Chain Manager - Lusaka

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, APICS/CSCP, CIM, ISM) is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5–10 years’ relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, with managerial responsibility
  • Strong understanding of procurement, inventory, logistics, and supply chain best practices
