Position : Supply Chain Manager - Harare

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain management including procurement, logistics, inventory control, vendor relationships, and forecasting. The goal is to ensure efficient and cost-effective processes that deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Manage sourcing, procurement, and vendor negotiation to secure quality materials and services at optimal pricing.
  • Oversee inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Production, Finance) to forecast demand and ensure timely delivery.
  • Optimize transportation and logistics processes to improve speed, cost, and reliability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including disruptions and compliance issues.
  • Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations of supply chain performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor the supply chain team to drive continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Implement digital tools and ERP systems to enhance transparency and operational efficiency.

Required profile for job ad : Supply Chain Manager - Harare

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
