Position : Software Developer, Deputy Manager - Accra

Highly skilled Python & Django Developer, able to design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and web applications. Should have strong experience with Python, Django, and RESTful APIs, and will work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. A first degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or any related disciplines.
Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python and Django
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework
  • Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices
  • Develop and maintain databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
  • Write and execute unit and integration tests
  • Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues

Required profile for job ad : Software Developer, Deputy Manager - Accra

  • A minimum of two (2) Industry-level technical certification.
  • A minimum of 3years’ solid experience in designing, developing and maintaining Django and Django REST Framework
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Good understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture
  • Familiarity with Git version control
  • Experience with Linux-based environments
  • Knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns

The following Skills Will be an added advantage

  • Experience with FastAPI or Flask
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Vue)
  • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Background in CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of security standards (OAuth2, JWT)
  • Experience in driving information security Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC), and risk management capital projects.
  • Documentation and report writing skills, consistent with public sector and security sector practice.
  • Ability to conduct due diligence, consistent with public sector and security sector reports and deliverables
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and coordination skills
  • Ability to self-develop and adapt to professional ways of doing things, particularly in the public sector
  • Ability to effectively and professionally manage and navigate a multi-sectoral and political environment to deliver the set programmes and activities of the organisation
  • Good research & report writing skills.
