Position : Senior Restaurant Front of House Manager - Gauteng

We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Senior Front of House Manager to lead and elevate the guest experience within high-end, fine-dining restaurants in Pretoria and Johannesburg. This role requires a polished hospitality professional with exceptional people leadership skills, a deep understanding of luxury service standards, and the ability to manage busy, high-pressure service environments with confidence and grace.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring flawless service delivery, team performance, and guest satisfaction while working closely with senior management.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all Front of House operations during service
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences aligned with fine-dining standards
  • Supervise, train, and mentor FOH teams, including hosts, waitstaff, and supervisors
  • Ensure service procedures, presentation, and timing meet brand expectations
  • Manage reservations, floor plans, and guest flow efficiently
  • Handle guest feedback, special requests, and complaints professionally
  • Assist with staff scheduling, performance management, and training
  • Collaborate closely with BOH and management to ensure seamless service
  • Monitor FOH costs, productivity, and operational efficiencies
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and labour regulations
  • Uphold brand image, culture, and service excellence at all times

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior FOH Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Floor Manager within a fine-dining or premium hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and guest-engagement skills
  • Excellent understanding of luxury service standards and restaurant operations
  • Ability to manage high-pressure service periods with confidence
  • Well-presented, professional, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
