Position : Senior Financial Controller - Johannesburg

A U.S.-based company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller to lead its full finance function. This role manages accounting, reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and internal controls while ensuring strict compliance with U.S. GAAP and U.S. regulatory standards. Daily collaboration with a U.S. finance team is required.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
  • Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
  • Maintain internal controls
  • Coordinate audits and tax matters
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. reporting requirements
  • Provide financial analysis and insights
  • Improve financial systems and processes

Required profile for job ad : Senior Financial Controller - Johannesburg

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CA(SA)/CIMA/CPA advantageous
  • 5–8 years’ finance experience, incl. 2+ years in a Controller/lead role
  • Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge; IFRS exposure
  • Experience in financial services advantageous
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-border environment
