Position : Sales Engineer / Account Manager - Addis Ababa

We are looking for a Sales Engineer / Account Manager.
Responsibilities :
Combine technical expertise with sales experience to prepare technical proposals, manage relationships with international vendors, generate leads, close sales, and contribute to business growth in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The candidate should be adept at both engineering and sales, ensuring successful deal closures and client satisfaction.

  • Sales Pipeline & Lead Generation: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring sales targets are met, while proactively identifying new prospects and converting them into clients.
  • Pre-Sales & Proposal Development: Present tailored software and hardware solutions, and develop detailed business and technical proposals that meet RFP and ToR requirements.
  • Vendor & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with international vendors, securing competitive pricing and favourable deals.
  • Cross-Selling & Up-Selling: Implement strategies to identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling within existing accounts.
  • Customisation & Bid Management: Continuously adapt solutions to meet customer needs and oversee the preparation of timely and compliant bid documentation.
  • Customer Success & After-Sales Support: Collaborate with internal teams to deliver custom solutions, ensuring client satisfaction and providing excellent after-sales service for long-term relationships.

Required profile for job ad : Sales Engineer / Account Manager - Addis Ababa

 

  • Sales & Pre-Sales Expertise: At least two years of experience in technology product sales, including pre-sales activities such as client requirements analysis, product presentations, and solution demonstrations.
  • Leadership & Project Experience: Proven ability to manage a sales team, implement strategies, and successfully handle large-scale, multi-million Birr sales projects with a high win rate in competitive bidding.
  • Technical & Bid Proposal Skills: Strong technical background with a relevant degree, and experience in preparing and submitting bid proposals, including knowledge of Ethiopian public procurement regulations.
  • Sales Acumen & Negotiation: Exceptional sales and communication skills, with a track record of exceeding sales targets and strong negotiation abilities to secure favorable vendor deals.
