We Are Hiring: Sales Development Representative (FMCG & Food Packaging Consumables) – Northern KZN (Newcastle).
Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative to drive sales, account growth, and market penetration for FMCG and food packaging consumables across the Northern KZN region. The role requires a consultative sales approach, excellent relationship management, and proven ability to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities

  • Promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide consultative solutions to clients.
  • Maintain sales records, reports, and customer profiles.
  • Research potential customers and develop new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with marketing, sales management, logistics, and technical service teams.
  • Meet or exceed company sales targets and profit margins.
  • Provide management with regular reports on customer needs, problems, interests, and competitive activities.

Candidate Profile :
Education & Qualifications

  • Relevant education or diploma/degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

  • Proven experience in FMCG and food packaging consumables sales or external trade sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure new business accounts and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and managing a territory effectively.

Skills & Competencies

  • Consultative sales approach with problem-solving aptitude.
  • Results-oriented, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze market potential, manage customer value plans, and report accurately.
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport required.
  • Local residency in Northern KZN preferred.
  • Traceable and contactable references.
