Duties and Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must have a basic understanding on designing and installation of commercial solar system.
  • Conduct site audits for the design of Solar PV systems including drawings (SLDs, Panel Layout, Stringing, inverter and earthing layouts), populate a BOQ and prepare a proposal.
  • Project management skills which include management of important projects, managing contractors, procurement of material, invoicing
  • Coordinate the installation and commissioning of industrial and commercial solar systems.
  • Coordinating and participating in bids for solar projects.
  • Regularly updating management of status of various projects and potential opportunities in the market.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and advancements and integrating them into design processes.
  • Regular client engagements, project feasibility modelling and management of procurement.
  • Identifying potential business opportunities and generating leads.
  • Assist with diagnosing faults and providing aftersales support.
  • Execute all tasks according to company quality standards and uphold workmanship standards as per company procedures.

Qualifications and experience

  • Technical Qualification (BEng , Bsc)
  • Postgraduate degree or Masters degree an added advantage
  • Registration with ECSA as a Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or PVsyst, HOMER and Helioscope.
  • Project management certification will be an added advantage.
  • Solar Greencard added advantage
