Plant Assistant (Maintanance) - Carletonville, Welkom, Doornkop

We are looking for a Plant Assistant (Maintanance)

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and control the maintenance of the plant
• Participate in the preparation of the annual maintenance and projects. Together with operations develop plans for each area of maintenance and engineering and the various stages of them ensuring human, material and economic resources are well managed.
• Insure that all maintenance project work in the plants is carried out and completed to the highest level of trade-man quality.
• Manage outside maintenance contractors to ensure the integrity of the maintenance team and carry out corrective action when required.
• Complete repairs to various plant equipment
• Maintaining & servicing machinery - Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery to ensure ongoing operations of a facility – General plant maintenance
• Responsible and accountable for the effective leadership of the maintenance team whilst ensuring the effective management, development and discipline of staff
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and repairs
• General machining work
• Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
• Preventative maintenance and fault finding on equipment - Perform periodic checks on equipment.
• Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
• Operate a forklift as applicable
• General workshop duties i.e. maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop and tool store
• Adherence to health and safety regulations - Employees are required to work in       a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy facility
• General housekeeping activities / and or assistance when required in additional production / manufacturing departments.
