Position : Operations Manager - Gaborone
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operations within the organization, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively to meet company objectives and quality standards.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Supervise and mentor operational staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze key performance metrics to assess departmental performance and identify areas for improvement. Generate and present reports to senior management regularly.
- Streamline workflows and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service delivery. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet operational goal
- Lead and manage cross-functional projects, from planning through execution and evaluation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Oversee relationships with suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Ensure that operations are aligned with customer needs and expectations, fostering a customer-centric approach within the team.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in operations management or a similar role within [specific industry, if applicable].
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using operations management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
