Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to develop, implement, and oversee health, safety, and environmental management systems across the organization. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with statutory regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and minimize workplace risks while supporting sustainable environmental practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain occupational health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with national HSE legislation, standards, and industry best practices
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and environmental impact assessments
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Lead safety training, drills, and awareness programs for employees and contractors
- Monitor workplace hazards, environmental performance, and regulatory compliance
- Prepare and submit HSE reports to management and regulatory authorities
- Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders on HSE matters
- Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental sustainability

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced HSE professional with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in occupational health, safety, and environmental management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. They hold a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, supported by recognized professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA.
The candidate demonstrates strong expertise in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, incident investigation, and environmental sustainability practices. They are a proactive leader with excellent communication and training skills, committed to fostering a strong safety culture, minimizing workplace risks, and ensuring continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance across the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is required
- Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in occupational health, safety, and environmental management
- At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations and environmental laws

- Excellent communication, training, and report-writing abilities
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites or projects
