Position : IT Manager - Kigali

We are looking for an IT Manager.
The IT Manager will oversee all technology operations, ensure systems are secure and reliable, and lead digital transformation initiatives across the organization. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to align IT strategy with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Operations & Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring 99%+ system uptime and optimal performance.
  • Manage servers, networks, hardware, software, and cloud platforms.
  • Lead implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Optimize infrastructure to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

2. Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and best practices.
  • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, threats, and breaches.
  • Coordinate regular security audits, penetration tests, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, etc., if relevant).

3. Team Leadership & Staff Support

  • Lead, mentor, and train IT support and technical teams.
  • Oversee helpdesk operations to ensure timely incident resolution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and technological innovation.

4. Digital Transformation & Projects

  • Plan and execute IT projects such as ERP implementation, system upgrades, automation, and cloud adoption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.

5. Systems Administration

  • Administer and support networks, firewalls, servers, databases, and enterprise applications.
  • Manage backups, storage solutions, and access controls.
  • Ensure data integrity, reliability, and secure user access.

6. Vendor & Contract Management

  • Evaluate, negotiate, and manage third-party vendors, service providers, and IT contracts.
  • Ensure cost-effective procurement and timely service delivery.

7. Reporting & Strategic Planning

  • Prepare regular reports on system performance, security posture, and project status.
  • Develop and update the organization’s IT strategy and policies in line with growth.
  • Recommend new technologies to maximize efficiency, security, and ROI.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT management or senior technical roles.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, systems administration, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with ERP systems, digital health systems, or enterprise applications (customize if needed).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
