Position : Inoculator / Operator - Ojoo-Moniya Ibadan

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Inoculator / Operator to join our team. The Inoculator / Operator will play a crucial role in our laboratory operations by ensuring the accurate and efficient inoculation of samples as per protocols and operating various equipment necessary for the process.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

  • Perform inoculation of samples according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Operate and maintain equipment required for the inoculation process, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of inoculation activities, including sample information, experimental conditions, and results.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the inoculation process, ensuring the timely resolution to minimise disruptions.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise workflows and improve efficiency in the laboratory.
  • Assist in other laboratory tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with experience in sample inoculation and operation of laboratory equipment.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory protocols and procedures, including aseptic techniques and safety practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
