Position : Human Resource Manager - Mukono
We are looking for a Human Resource Manager.
The Human Resource Manager will lead and manage all aspects of human capital for Kaaro Foods Ltd. This includes recruitment, training, employee relations, performance management, compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive organizational culture. The HR Manager ensures that the company attracts, develops, and retains talented personnel to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Develop job descriptions, specifications, and advertisements.
- Source, interview, and hire qualified candidates for various roles.
- Maintain a talent pipeline for future staffing needs.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for staff queries, concerns, and grievances.
- Promote a positive work environment and organizational culture.
- Implement employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
3. Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate staff development programs.
- Organize workshops on workplace safety, food safety, and skill enhancement.
- Monitor performance improvement plans and career development programs.
4. Performance Management
- Implement performance appraisal systems and review processes.
- Advise management on promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Monitor KPIs related to employee productivity and satisfaction.
5. Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with Ugandan labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, review, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and manuals.
- Maintain accurate HR records, including contracts, attendance, and leave.
6. Payroll & Benefits (optional if handled by HR)
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Manage employee benefits, leave entitlements, and statutory contributions.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 5 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or food processing.
- Knowledge of Ugandan labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office.
