Position : Health and Safety Officer - Mombasa

We are looking for a Health and Safety Officer.
Responsible for ensuring that workers are following established policies and safety regulations so as to create a safe working environment in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.

    Educational Requirements

    • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.
    • Experience in site supervision or safety operations.
    • Knowledge of Kenyan health and safety laws. 

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Good working knowledge of the OSHA guidelines
    • Good working knowledge of corrective and preventative action as per the ISO standards
    • Demonstrated proactive working ethics
    • Demonstrated good communication skills
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated attention to detail
    • Able to work under minimum supervision
    • Ability to multi-task and organisational skills

    Experience

    • At least 3 years relevant work experience at same position in a busy environment

    Other desirable requirements

    • Age: Minimum age 28 years
    • Honesty and Integrity
    • Experience in Kaizen
    • Previous experience in ISO certified environment
    • Ability to accept responsibility and account for any action taken
