Position : Head of Operations - Gomoa Nsuaem

We are looking for a Head of Operations.
The Head of Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the company’s aquaculture operations, including production, business development, financial performance, and team management. This role ensures that the company achieves its strategic objectives while maintaining the highest standards of sustainability, biosecurity, efficiency, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership·

  • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve growth, profitability, and sustainability goals.
  • Oversee expansion projects, partnerships, and market opportunities.
  • Report regularly to the Board on performance, risks, and opportunities.

Operations Management·

  • Lead and manage hatchery, grow-out, feed, processing, and distribution operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and biosecurity standards.
  • Optimize production efficiency, survival rates, and product quality.

Financial & Business Performance·

  • Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure profitability and long-term financial sustainability.
  • Identify new revenue streams and markets (domestic and export).

People & Culture·

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of managers, technicians, and staff.
  • Establish a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management.

Stakeholder Engagement·

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers, regulators, and industry associations.
  • Represent the company in public forums, trade shows, and community initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8–12 years of progressive leadership experience in aquaculture, fisheries, food production, or agribusiness.
  • Strong knowledge of aquaculture practices, production systems, and industry regulations.· Proven track record in managing operations, budgets, and teams at a senior level.
  • Experience in international trade, export compliance, and sustainability certifications is an advantage.
