Position : Geologist - Chikuti

We are looking for a Geologist.
As a Geologist, you will play a critical role in the exploration, development, and production phases of our gold mining operations. You will be responsible for geological mapping, ore body evaluation, resource estimation, and providing technical expertise to support mining operations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct geological mapping and sampling programs across active and prospective mining areas
  • Prepare detailed geological reports, cross-sections, and plans to support mine planning
  • Perform ore body modeling and resource estimation using industry-standard software
  • Monitor and evaluate grade control during mining operations
  • Collaborate with mining engineers, surveyors, and production teams to optimize ore extraction
  • Conduct drill core logging and interpretation
  • Participate in exploration programs to identify new mineralized zones
  • Ensure compliance with geological standards and company protocols
  • Provide technical recommendations for mine development and expansion

Minimum Requirements
Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Geologist with reputable mining organizations
  • Demonstrated experience in gold mining operations or precious metals exploration
  • Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Surpac, Micromine, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of ore deposit geology, particularly gold mineralization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Valid driver's license

Desirable:

  • Professional registration or membership with recognized geological associations
  • Experience with resource estimation and JORC/NI 43-101 reporting
  • Knowledge of geochemical and geophysical exploration techniques
  • Experience working in challenging or remote mining environments
