Position : Geodetic Engineer - Tamale

We are looking for a Geodetic Engineer
Responsibilities:

  • undertake land/topographic/hydrographic surveys on site, using a variety of specialist equipment and technology.
  • supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
  • analyse data using plans, maps, charts and software such as AutoCAD and GIS (geographic information systems) programs to produce survey reports .
  • Verify the mathematical correctness of newly collected survey data.
  • prepare survey drawings.
  • Write descriptions schedules of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents.
  • Provide advice on technical matters and whether construction plans are viable.
  • Plan or direct the work of geodetic surveying staff, providing technical consultation as needed.
  • Prepare cadastral map in ArcGIS of the project affected areas for the purpose of compensation distribution/ resettlement/ rehabilitation as required for the project development.

Required profile for job ad : Geodetic Engineer - Tamale

  • B. Sc. Geodetic or Geomatic Engineering with 3-5 years working experience.
  • Ability to use surveying and mapping equipment (graduated rods, transits, levels, theodolites, fathometers, electronic distance meters, global positioning systems, etc.) 
  • Computer aided design (CAD), surveying and map creation softwares 
  • Blueprint/drawing specifications creation and interpretation 
  • Diagrammatic skills 
  • Solid knowledge in geography  
  • Highly skilled in mathematics and physics
