Position : Full Stack Developer - Nairobi

We are looking for a skilled  Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has at least 2–5 years of experience in software development and is proficient in both frontend and backend technologies. You will work on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications while ensuring seamless user experiences and robust backend functionalities.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain both frontend (React) and backend (Node.js next) applications.
  • Design and optimize relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) 
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs 
  • Ensure responsive UI/UX design and implement best practices for performance optimization.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best coding practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers in an Agile environment.
  • Deploy and maintain applications using cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar).
  • Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve workflows.

Technical Skills:

  • Frontend: Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React.js).
  • Backend: Strong knowledge of backend languages like Node.js
  • Databases: Experience working with SQL ( PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase) databases.
  • APIs: Hands-on experience with RESTful API and GraphQL development and integration.
  • Version Control: Proficiency in Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and deployment tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Testing & Debugging: Experience with unit and integration testing using Jest, Mocha, or similar frameworks.
  • Security & Performance Optimization: Understanding of authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, SSO) and application security best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative Agile team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for learning new technologies.
