Position : Fitter and Turner / Machinist - Howick

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and trade tested Fitter and Turner / Machinist for a well-established company, position based in the Howick area, Kwazulu-Natal Midlands.

Required profile for job ad : Fitter and Turner / Machinist - Howick

  • Grade 12.
  • Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
  • Trade tested Fitter and Turner.
  • Competent computer skills (Email / MS Office).
  • 3yrs+ previous working experience as a qualified Fitter and Turner or Machinist.
  • Maintain plant equipment by means of machining and mechanical work.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints to manufacture and fit mechanical components.
  • Operating metal lathes, drilling machines, and milling machines for crafting precise components.
  • Performing preventative maintenance to keep machinery in optimum condition.
  • Troubleshooting malfunctioning systems and conducting timely repairs.
  • Collaborating with engineers and production teams to improve machinery performance and efficiency.
  • Person must be physically fit.
