Position : External Sales Representative – Security & Access Control Solutions - Johannesburg

Our client,  a leading manufacturer and provider of access control solutions, including boom gates, turnstiles, and related security products, with a proven track record and a strong reputation in the market, is seeking to grow the external sales team with a hunter-minded professional ready to close deals and contribute to business growth.
This role is ideal for a natural hunter who thrives on building strong client relationships, leveraging both warm and cold leads, and selling into an already well-established network in the access control and security solutions space.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote and sell the full range of access control solutions in the field.
  • Identify new business opportunities while nurturing existing relationships.
  • Convert leads (company-generated and self-sourced) into successful sales.
  • Conduct site visits and layout planning to ensure accurate, tailored quoting.
  • Generate and follow up on quotations in line with company pricing strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including technical, drawing, and factory teams.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and follow-up.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and competitor insights to management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric + formal qualification in Sales and/or Marketing.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum 2 years of successful experience in external field sales.
  • Proven track record in solution selling, preferably in technical or industrial products.
  • Hunter mentality with excellent closing skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn detailed product specifications.
