Position : Electrical Technician - Nairobi,Coast,Nyanza,Central

We require a highly skilled Electrical Technician to support our mechanical operations throughout the facility. You will respond to requests for electrical repairs and breakdowns, perform routine maintenance and upgrade equipment as necessary. Candidates must know how to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and make necessary adjustments or repairs when they are not functioning properly. We prefer applicants with at least two years of professional technician experience and a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities :

  • Conduct tests and assessments of new systems and repairs to ensure quality.
  • Assemble and install electrical panels, wire harnesses, and other equipment.
  • Respond quickly to all service requests and efficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
  • Communicate estimated timelines for repairs to those impacted.
  • Install new equipment and wiring to expand infrastructure as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on a regular schedule.
  • Log all services and report progress to management.
  • Utilise and store all equipment properly.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and an associate degree in electrical engineering technology are preferred.
  • Valid electrician license in good standing.
  • Two plus years of experience working as an electrical technician.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all necessary equipment.
  • Able to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient with manual and power tools.
