Position : EdTech Advisor – National Volunteer - Kampala

Inclusive and sustainable technology (EdTech) is one of the pathways of our Education Programme. The EdTech Advisor will be part of our expert inclusive education Global E-volunteers group for Resilient and Inclusive Education Team. The main purpose of your role will be to work with our Global EdTech Advisor, volunteers, and staff in several countries to develop high quality interactive contents for VSOSCHOOL application. You will be directly contributing to VSO’s ambitious goal to provide safe, quality and inclusive education and skills to ten million children and youth by 2030 by harnessing the power of EdTech and improving access to inclusive, quality, and equitable basic education for 3–19-year old children.

Required profile for job ad : EdTech Advisor – National Volunteer - Kampala

Knowledge/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science and technology, communications, Information technology, computer engineering or a similar discipline
  • Sound working knowledge of digital and social media
  • Experiences in education in emergencies or related field will be an added advantage
  • Five (5) years’ experience and a similar or related role
  • Previous NGO project management experience with demonstrated experience in strengthening child protection system.
