Position : Data Manager - Kigali

We are looking for a Data Manager.
The Data Analyst will lead data-driven decision-making across the organization by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets. With 10 years of experience, this role provides strategic insights, builds analytical models, and improves business performance through advanced reporting and automation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Collection, Cleaning & Management

  • Collect, clean, and validate large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
  • Ensure high data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Manage databases, data pipelines, and ETL processes.

2. Advanced Data Analysis

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Use statistical methods to evaluate business performance and forecast future outcomes.
  • Translate data findings into meaningful insights for leadership and stakeholders.

3. Reporting & Visualization

  • Develop intuitive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Excel, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Automate recurring reports to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

4. Business Decision Support

  • Work closely with management to support strategic planning, budgeting, and performance evaluation.
  • Provide recommendations that guide business growth, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, sales, operations, product).

5. Predictive Analytics & Modeling

  • Build predictive models using Excel, Python, R, SQL, or machine learning tools.
  • Develop forecasting models for sales, customer behavior, financial performance, and operational trends.
  • Continuously refine models for accuracy and reliability.

6. Data Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Establish and maintain data quality standards.
  • Document data definitions, processes, and analytics methodologies.
  • Ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies.

7. Tools & Technology Management

  • Work with cloud-based data solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and modern data stack tools.
  • Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability.
  • Support integration of new data sources and analytical technologies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in:

    • SQL
    • Power BI / Tableau
    • Advanced Excel
    • Python or R
    • Data modeling and visualization
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
