Position : Corporate Trainer / Learning and Development Officer - Kigali

We are looking for a Corporate Trainer / Learning and Development Officer.
The Corporate Trainer / Learning and Development Officer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and organizational effectiveness. The role supports business objectives by identifying training needs, developing learning solutions, and promoting a culture of continuous learning across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Training Needs Analysis

  • Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads and management
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate learning interventions
  • Align training initiatives with organizational goals and performance requirements

Training Design & Delivery

  • Design and develop training materials, manuals, presentations, and e-learning content
  • Facilitate onboarding, technical, soft skills, leadership, and compliance training programs
  • Deliver engaging classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions
  • Customize training programs for different employee levels and departments

Learning & Development Programs

  • Implement learning and development strategies to support talent growth and succession planning
  • Coordinate external training providers, consultants, and facilitators
  • Support leadership development and career progression initiatives

Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics
  • Prepare training reports and maintain accurate training records
  • Continuously improve training programs based on evaluation results

Learning Systems & Administration

  • Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training schedules
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory training requirements
  • Manage training budgets and resources efficiently

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Professional certification in Training, Learning & Development, HR, or Coaching is an added advantage
  • Minimum of [5–10] years’ experience in corporate training or learning and development

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Excellent training needs analysis and instructional design skills
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences and learning styles
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and learning technologies (LMS, e-learning tools)
  • Analytical skills to measure training impact and ROI
