Position : Commercial Law Attorney - Irene, Centurion

We are looking for a Commercial Law Attorney.
Duties:

  • Handling of Commercial and Corporate Litigation matters
  • Practical application of prevailing corporate and commercial law
  • Drafting legal contracts, documents and client liaison
  • General attorney duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Presentable and professional demeanor
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (Full proficiency in both verbal and written communication for Afr & Eng client base)
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree completed, and admitted as an Attorney (non-negotiable)
  • Master of Laws (LLM) Degree in Commercial Law or B.Com Finance Degree is advantageous
  • Minimum 4 years post-admission experience in Commercial and Corporate Law (specialization in Commercial Law required)
  • Fully independently functional
  • Strong contract drafting skills are essential
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of corporate and commercial transactions, including M&A’s, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Deal Structuring, Transactional Tax, etc.
  • Business intelligence and a strong grasp of commercial transactions
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Stable employment record with contactable references
  • Seeking a long-term career opportunity with the firm
  • Availability to start as soon as possible.
