Position : Civil et Structural Engineer - Emalahleni

We are looking for a Civil et Structural Engineer.
Role Overview:
The Civil & Structural Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, analysis, and supervision of civil and structural works on construction and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that all designs and site activities comply with relevant codes, standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and review civil and structural elements including foundations, concrete and steel structures, roads, and drainage systems.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, project managers, contractors, and other engineers.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues arising during design and construction.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, industry standards, and health & safety requirements.
  • Provide technical support during tendering, costing, and project execution stages.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. ECSA).
  • 3–8 years’ experience in civil and structural design and construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards.
  • Experience with design and analysis software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ETABS, SAFE, or similar).
